vSouthwest will take a minimalistic approach when it comes to staffing. The goal is to run the airline efficiently an effectively while keeping our community all about the virtual pilot. Initially, we will only have a team of five staff members working to manage the airline. Listed below are the openings that vSouthwest will look to fill prior to an official launch. Chief Operating Officer
-Manages all online pilot operations.
-Oversees Director of Events and Operations Managers
-Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and vSouthwest pilots
Examples of duties include processing pilot applications, participating in the Pilot Forums, collaborating with the staff team to advance the airline, and working with the Operations Managers to enforce the Policies & Procedures.
Director of Events
-Responsible for scheduling and implementing online events and collaborations
-Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and vSouthwest pilots
Examples of duties include planning and scheduling airline events (which will take place on the VATSIM network), participating in the Pilot Forums, and collaborating with the staff team to advance the airline.
